Car Camera Rig Rope Pulley System.

The perfect pulley system for smooth movement of the car / vehicle, as many clients find out 'hand pushing' of the car can make for awkward / jerking of movement which is transfered through to the camera.

Not any longer with the pulley system...

On level ground you can set the pulley system up to be 2-1 mechanical advantage as it is easy to move the car anyway, but by using the pulley it will now be smooth and constant through the rig exposure.

On a gradient or hill you can set up the pulley to a 4-1 or 5-1 mechanical advantage making really light work of moving the car uphill or downhill, again very smoothly.

Moving super heavy vehicles like trucks or lorries now becomes a breeze using the 5-1 mechanical advantage of the pulley system not only is it smooth but effortless. Once a heavy vehicle is moving from a stand still it is very easy to keep it moving at a smooth steady pace for the rig exposure.

You can also add another twin pulley to this setup to make 6-1 or 7-1 mechanical advantage which would make moving extremely heavy vehicles uphill or downhill easy.

Obviously caution is needed when moving non propeled vehicles so that they cannot runaway if you release the pulley ropes and adequate precautions need to be in place to prevent this.
